Peter Kovacs
From Barista to Area Coach

Peter Kovacs, Hungary

My story with AmRest began in 2014 when I joined Starbucks as a Barista. From day one, I was eager to grow, and within 9 months, I became a Shift Manager. 2 years later, I opened first store as an Assistant Store Manager, and at 23, I proudly became the youngest Store Manager in Hungary. Over the years, I led successful stores, opened 5 new locations, and worked in 9 different cafés. Every challenge helped me become a stronger leader. In 2020, I stepped into the role of District Manager, and a year later, I embraced a new adventure at Pizza Hut as an Area Coach. Today, I manage a region of 8 restaurants, focusing on developing great leaders and building strong teams.
Mezei Judit
From Crew Member to Employee Engagement

Mezei Judit, Hungary

My journey with AmRest began in 2016 at KFC. I quickly advanced to Assistant Manager, leading the largest restaurant in the country and earning several recognitions along the way. In 2018, I moved to the KFC Training Department, where I embraced new challenges and grew both professionally and personally. Currently, I'm part of the Engagement Department, where I work alongside a fantastic team on innovative projects focused on employee retention, satisfaction, and internal communication. This position has given me a deeper understanding of our business and its scale. Throughout my journey, I've experienced significant professional development and taken great pride in contributing to the company's success.
Mateusz Nadolski
From Cashier to Internal Control Manager

Mateusz Nadolski, Poland

My AmRest story began in 2013, as a cashier at KFC. Initially, I planned to work only during summer, but I stayed much longer! In 2016 during my Erasmus Exchange I worked as a crew member in La Tagliatella in Spain. After returning to Poland I took on new challenges: Junior Shift Manager in 2016 and Shift Manager in 2017, working in several KFC locations in Poland. In 2018, I became Assistant Manager at the newly opened KFC. In 2019, I transitioned to the corporate role, supporting Starbucks CEE as a Product System Administrator, covering all markets. Since September 2023, I've been serving as Internal Control Manager in Madrid, Spain. I love that AmRest offers diverse opportunities for development, allowing me to explore different roles.

From Summer Job to Senior Manager

Olga Gentkowska, Poland

My AmRest story began in 2008 when I joined KFC as a Restaurant Team Member, just looking for a summer job. Thanks to a flexible schedule I was able to balance my studies with work. Great people and unique atmosphere made me realize this was much more than temporary job – it was the start of an amazing career. I grew step by step: Junior Shift Manager in 2013, Shift Manager in 2014, and People Manager in 2015. In 2017, I proudly became a General Manager, leading my own restaurant and team. After more than a decade in operations, I embraced a new challenge in HR. In 2019, I became an HR Business Partner, then HR Country Manager in 2020. Since 2022, I've been Senior Employee Engagement Manager Poland, focusing on onboarding, communication, employee relations, and recognition programs. My operational background helps me deeply understand our people and business.
Pavla Hrideľova
From Crew Member to HR Brand Manager

Pavla Hrideľova, Czech Republic

My career started in 1997 at KFC as a crew member. It was a time of learning and growth, and I quickly found my footing in the bustling environment. Over the next decade, I grew into the role of Assistant Store Manager, developing strong leadership skills. After a short break, I returned to AmRest in 2010, this time joining Starbucks. I managed various stores, from small stores to large, busy locations, and even opened a new store while successfully leading two at once. In 2019, I began training to become a District Manager, but the pandemic interrupted my plans. I stayed resilient and focused on growth, and in 2020, I embraced a new challenge as HR Brand Manager. Today, I'm proud to continue in this role, committed to growing and strengthening my career within the company.
Alin Merisan
From Crew Member to Customer Care

Alin Merisan, Romania

My journey with AmRest began in September 2020 as a Crew Member at Burger King. In 2021, I took on more responsibility as a Junior Shift Manager, and by 2022, I was promoted to Shift Manager. In April 2024, I made a big transition and got promoted to the role of Customer Care Coordinator. This change has been an incredible learning experience, helping me grow both professionally and personally. I'm excited to keep developing and take full advantage of the opportunities AmRest provides. My journey proves that no matter where you start, with hard work, dedication, and a willingness to learn, you can achieve your goals. Never stop striving to grow and improve!
